Man suffers workplace injuries in explosion while welding

Regardless of the occupation, there are certain risks associated with it. Both workers and employers in New York City work to ensure that health and safety standards are met, but many hazards are difficult to anticipate. Unfortunately, one man in another state recently suffered workplace injuries in an explosion.

The incident happened one morning on a day in early April. According to reports, the 41-year-old victim was welding a holding tank used for water solvent. He was working alone at the time.

According to witnesses, an explosion occurred while the man was welding, throwing him nearly 50 feet. When rescue workers arrived at the scene, they discovered the man suffering from what reports describe as “multiple traumatic injuries.” He was transported to the hospital for treatment. Officials do not believe that the explosion poses a threat to the general public; the incident is likely under investigation, and officials are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Unfortunately, even people in New York City who do everything they can to prevent an accident fall victim to workplace injuries.
